Umm so yeah, these past few weeks have pretty much been AWESOME. betcha can't guess why! (sarcastic)

AHH i can totally just... taste summer. it's SO close... I'm really lucky I don't have anything important left. I definitely cannot concentrate...

yesterday at Lauren's pool was quite an adventure... I hid beneath the table to avoid getting pulled it. I was safe, right? WRONG!! so someone (sean, i think?) took this water-gun-ish-thing and aimed it RIGHT at my lower back / butt ... needless to say, I screamed and jumped up. SOOO UNEXPECTED. and then that got me up, and I got thrown into the pool, complete with shirt and shorts and no swimsuit. excellente (with spanish accent). although it WAS pretty funny watching david and luke getting dumped in , because they both put up quite an effort...

TODAY = VENICE BEACH.
ohhh my gosh so much fun!
so basically... tomer, bennychenny, tiff, kyle, mindy, david, jezziboo, luke, and i went to the beach... up in half moon bay. I really didn't expect much... I was more kind of in the "it's 80 degrees here, and 60 degrees there, why are we going?!" mentality. Yes, it was cloudy, but it was surprisingly warm (well not wwarm, but definitely bearable) and the water wasn't freezing. and we spent a lot of time trying to build a dam in this river/stream-thing there... pushing sand is quite tiring. one of my favorite moments from today... EVERYONE was out of the cars, facing the other direction and not looking..., and we had set up car doors and towels and everything so i could change...

HAHAHAHAH. okay so i guess the entry was kind of pointless, it won't be funnie to anyone who wasn't there, but... at least it serves to keep this memory.

(and yes, last night, i went back and read xanga entries from wayyyy back, about... 2 years ago... umm definitely a trip down memory lane )

oh, I almost forgot...

So today was the Spring Concert, featuring Symphonic Band, Orchestra, String Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble.

aka my last concert, EVER. (okay, "real" concert... i guess i'll be playing at graduation but that doesn't really count)

so i honestly didn't care about it... in fact, i found out YESTERDAY about TODAY's concert. and i was just thinking about it as a waste of time, especially since we had such horrible rehearsals yesterday and today.

... but when we were up there an hour or two ago, something clicked and i felt like we actually sounded good. i guess just cause... everyone was completely focused & concentrating & playing dynamics & articulations & actually TRYING... in other words, striving towards a common goal, for once. it was one of those moments where you realize that you care more about something than you had previously thought, and i kinda realized that i'll miss all those stupid 3rd periods that feel like a waste of time when i could be studying for some big spanish or bio test, and that i'll miss playing flute like i have ever since 5th grade. & come to think of it, that's a long time.

... but then i thought about it more, and i highly-highly-highly doubt i'll change my decision to stop band. so i guess i don't know what the point of writing this was. & now that i look back, i probably shouldn't have even taken wind ensemble this year... i was last chair, and then i could've taken either photo or architecture, so next year i'd take the other one, and be happy & still only have 5 periods instead of 6. buttt too late, and i guess occassionally, the band sounds good during concerts and it seems worth it.

*A MIDNIGHT MASQUERADE*

uh so basically, BEST DANCE EVER. all the hard work paid off and it seems like overall, people were willing to overlook the lights/no-music problems and actually enjoy it.

here are things i wish i could've taken pictures of... so just imagine them for me =)
- decorations (HAHA the noses were... interestingly shaped )
- OTHER FRIENDS!! duh
- chocolate fondue fountains... mmm.
- the tunnel! and how i could actually stand up straight with
   heels on. haha
- the AWESOME "dve" sign i made
- the WATER EXHIBIT. hellyes. uh so that was definitely my
   favorite part of the night.
    ... but good thing i didn't otherwise i'm sure someone would
   have a video of me throwing two balls up, then attempting to
   duck as they bounced off and came flying back at me

   car that went the wrong way and took the parking

   offering to take a picture
- Jezziboo - for covering me in hairspray so much
   that my hair felt like plastic.

- Renee - for hanging out with me while our dates
   were gone and everyone was exchanging

EDIT: i got my LICENSE today. haha yay. i'm still not gonna be driving myself alone anywhere, and i probably wont get my own car any time soon, but it's cool anyway ps. no, that does not mean i'm fine with giving everyone rides everywhere, on the occassion i DO have a car. just warning you, i won't be trying to make your life miserable, but i just really don't think i'd feel comfortable/safe.... (although it COULD be just cause i dislike you, too... haha jk)

wow so much has happened since the last entry...

- prom dress. must decide between 2 (white vs blue), tell me if you wanna help

- dance class - HAHA.
                    - "ebay! ebay!"

                    - training JITTERBUG!

- TAHOE! "suicide trip" with kyle & paquito (aka brian) & brian's dad.
                    - pictures of cars
                    - "su-ga and spice"
                    - "ma-fan"
                    - "evrySing will be alright, thinking that we'll be fine"

- brother's lacrosse game - AHH.
                    - UC DAVIS vs. CHICO!!
                    - davis won 5-2 ...
                    - basically, it was hella intense...
                            - winner = playoff spot
                            - loser = season OVER

- mudd pie. enough said.
